Puja, japa or havan by a pandit: what to ask

  • Whether the sankalp will be taken in your name (and gotra, if you have one).
  • How many recitations, how many pandits, how many days. (Texts give a japa count per planet; a smaller count is fine if stated upfront.)
  • Whether a video or photo will be shared with you, showing of the sankalp and the completion, especially if you are not present.
  • Whether materials and dakshina are included. Agree the full cost beforehand; ask about any later add-ons upfront.

Pause and think if you see these

  • 'Dosha fully removed' or any guaranteed result.
  • Pressure to book a big puja at once, using fear.

If someone sells through fear, 'buy today' or hurry, stop. A genuine purchase can wait and comes with a bill.

Get a proper bill for every purchase: the seller's name, address, GST number (if any), a full description, weight, price and the return policy.

Accept claims like 'abhimantrit', 'siddh' or 'pran-pratishthit' only if the seller states in writing who did it, when and how, and can show a video or photo. Such a claim should not be a reason to pay more.

We do not sell this; the information is here to help you recognise a fair price.
