Our story
ePandit gives every line of your chart in plain words, with its reason: which planet, which house, which dasha, and which text or tradition.
1 · My nanaji's kundli
I'm Himanshu Dadhich, from Jodhpur, from a family of pandits. I'm an engineer by training.
My first kundli was made by hand by my nanaji, my mother's father. He was a jyotishi: he drew the lines on paper and wrote each planet into its house.
My mother kept the whole family's kundlis safe. She would take them to several astrologers, then come home and tell us what had been said about each of us. We children loved listening, and hearing about ourselves was the best part.
2 · Why ePandit
Growing up, I saw that reaching a good astrologer isn't easy for every family: sometimes it costs a lot, sometimes the wait is long. And people want guidance that comes from their own chart, in their own language, that they can understand, and that's there when they need it.
My first horoscope app went live on Google Play on 14 June 2023, and the company was formed in 2024. Today ePandit is focused entirely on AI astrology that shows its working: which planet, which house, which dasha, and which text or tradition, all on the same page.
Our aim is simple: good jyotish guidance within everyone's reach, affordable, instant, in your own language, with its full basis in front of you.
3 · How we work
Compute
Your chart is calculated fresh each time with the Swiss Ephemeris and the Lahiri ayanamsa.
Basis
Every sentence comes with its planet, house, dasha and source text.
Guidance
In plain, calm words, with ₹0 remedies first, each labelled with its source, and the choice yours.
4 · Our commitments
- A reason for everything: whatever is written has its basis on the same page.
- Calm words: doshas and heavy phases come with their parihars and tradition's understanding.
- The simplest remedies first: food, fasting, service, charity and mantra first, then the rest, each with its source. The choice is yours.
- True numbers: every figure on the site is counted by our systems, such as the 160,000+ questions answered so far.
- Your data is yours: birth details stay on your device, and you can delete them any time.
- The right advice in the right place: for health, legal and big money decisions, a professional comes first.
5 · Who builds it
I build and run ePandit with the help of AI agents: from the code to every page of every report. Every astrological statement is written and checked against the classical texts, and each page names its source.
